REACH is an abbreviation for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization of Chemicals.
The regulation requires the industry to mitigate the risks originating from chemicals by providing information on their properties and risk factors and that company should register that data with a central agency, i.e. the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) located in Helsinki.
Its main objective is a higher level of protection of human health and the environment. It is to be ensured by providing up-to-date information on the handling and storage of chemicals within the European market, accompanied, if necessary supplemented by risk management measures.
The provisions of REACH shall apply to the manufacturing, marketing, or use of chemical substances on their own, as part of mixtures or components of goods.
BorsodChem is fully committed to the implementation of REACH and we are working in close cooperation with our customers and suppliers.
The Company has already completed the registration of all substances manufactured by us as required by REACH.
